On behalf of the Host Organizing Committee, thank you for making the Rotary International Convention 2025 in Calgary an unforgettable success. 

We’re deeply grateful to Rotary International for selecting Calgary as this year’s host city, and to Convention Chair Bryn Styles for his outstanding leadership and dedication over the past three years. Our sincere thanks to President Stephanie Urchick and the Board of Directors for their steadfast support, and to General Secretary John Hewko and the entire Rotary International team for their partnership, guidance, and unwavering collegiality throughout this journey. 

This convention would not have been possible without our incredible community.   First, there was our community of partners —Tourism Calgary, The City of Calgary, the Calgary Stampede, Calgary Sports and Entertainment (Saddledome), Calgary Hotel Association and our generous sponsors—for believing in this vision and bringing it to life.  We would especially like to recognize Calgary Arts Development for their unwavering support and commitment to helping us present a diversity for programming for your engagement. 

Of course, nothing would have happened with our volunteer community.  We want to recognize the incredible efforts of every Rotary Club in District 5360.  You stepped up with heart, energy, and unity—exactly as we knew you would.  And it wasn’t just Rotarians—more than 1,500 volunteers from across the community gave their time and spirit to help make this moment truly special. 

And finally—thank YOU.  To the more than 15,000 attendees who traveled from around the world to join us: your presence made this convention truly extraordinary.  It was our honor to welcome you to our district, to our city, and into our community.  In the lead-up to this event, we said you were “Already Here” because of Rotary’s deep roots in Calgary.  We don’t view today as the end; we view it as the beginning of a new and renewed energy for Rotary in our district that has already started to play itself out.  Now, we say: “You’re One of Us.” Come back anytime, because as President Stephanie reminds us, “We’re Family” and our doors are always open to you.  Together, we are making Magic All Around our city – THANK YOU!!!

Signature Events

A heartfelt thank you to all of you who joined us at the incredible events across the convention—from the Grandstand Spectacular to Host Hospitality, the inspiring performance of New Blood with the Calgary Civic Symphony, the unforgettable vibes at Rockin' the Big Four Roadhouse, and the one-of-a-kind Western Ranch Showcase.  We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the support and enthusiasm you’ve shown for these events, and the incredible feedback we’ve received has been nothing short of heartwarming. It was truly our pleasure to give you a taste of what makes Calgary—and Rotary—so special.  Thank you for being part of these unforgettable experiences, and for making this convention a celebration to remember!

Centre Stage Today at the House of Friendship (HOF):

Our final day of performances will open at 9 AM on Wednesday instead of the usual noon start.

  • The morning will begin with the Gai Lan Ensemble lead by virtuoso flutist Jiajia Li.  The ensemble is made up of the finest Chinese Instrumentalists in Alberta and represent the cultural diversity we enjoy in our Calgary music scene. 
  • Next up will be two talented operatic singers, recent to Calgary from the Ukraine.  Vitalia Vash and Anna Pompeieva will showcase operatic duets that will delight you with their humour – be sure to listen for the famous “Cat Duet”. 
  • Our kaleidoscope of Convention music will close with a performance by Steve Jevne.  Steve is a singer/songwriter, music producer and multi instrumentalist, whose credits include producing and scoring the past three YYC Music Awards and nominations in three categories at the Alberta Country Music Awards.  He will bring to a conclusion our performance schedule with a high energy hour of country music

When you need a break, grab a refreshment and head over to the HOF Stage where you can relax, catch your breath, and re-energize taking in some terrific entertainment.
